activity diary

Hi,
I am confused because on my activity diary it is counting the following:

Total 295 Cal
Elizabeth IPhone 128 Cal
iPhone daily steps 167
It seems that they are counting twice my activities, how do I change that ?

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you would like to disable activity tracking for the MyPlate app. Please open the Settings app on your phone > tap Health > tap Data Access & Devices > tap MyPlate > scroll to the bottom and toggle Active Energy to the off position.

Additionally, within the MyPlate app, tap the person icon in the upper-left, tap App Preferences, and toggle Track My Activity to the off position.

    • Hi I have the same issue as the original comment. I would not like to disable the activity completely, but could I only include the watch calories and not the other things since it's currently double counting everything?

Our team is aware of this and is working on a solution. In the meantime, we recommend turning off activity tracking in the MyPlate app. This will allow the app to sync only with your Apple Watch. To do this, please do the following:

Tap the person icon located in the upper left corner of the app's home screen.
      Tap "App Preferences".
Toggle the button next to "Track My Activity" to the off position.

    • Thanks. I don't have an Apple Watch, I just want the app to track my activity once. I don't want to disable the activity tracker. Please advise

With iOS 16 there was a change made in the Health app. The Health app now has a section with Active Energy calories. As a result MyPlate can import the iPhone Daily Steps that you're used to or the Active Energy calories (these will be displayed as [insertname]'s iPhone).

If you tap the person icon in the upper-left of the MyPlate app, tap App Preferences, and toggle Track My Activity to the ON position you get "iPhone Daily Steps."
If you tap the button labeled "Health Data" you get "your name's iPhone."
Do not track both; this will lead to duplicate calories.

To prevent further import of "your name's iPhone" open the Health app, tap Active Energy, scroll down to tap Data Sources & Access, and toggle MyPlate to the OFF position.
