Use a BMR calculator… free online. I think this app actually does it for you when you input your stats. (height/weight/age/activity level)

depending on your goal you should have roughly 0.8 to 1.6 grams of protein per lbs of body weight 0.8 if you're trying to lose weight 1.6 if you're trying to gain weight
